Timo Ellis

A talented multi-instrumentalist with a significant penchant for steel, Timo Ellis is best-known for his are drummer in the female-led hip-hop/pop clothing Cibo Matto. Delivered in NEW YORK, Ellis visited university at Evergreen Condition College or university in the Pacific Northwest where in fact the delivery of grunge and indie works, such as Defeat Happening, motivated him to try out. Ellis documented with two rings, Nubbin and Lemonade. After a short proceed to Seattle, Ellis came back to NEW YORK in 1994 and fulfilled with Russell Simins from the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Sean Lennon, boy of John Lennon, solo-artist and person in Cibo Matto who wished to start a music group called IMA. Jointly they backed Lennon’s mom, Yoko Ono, on her behalf album Rising. Out of this, Ellis fulfilled the others of Cibo Matto and started playing live schedules. Ellis performed drums on Lennon’s single album, In to the Sunlight on Matador, followed him on tour, and was essentially followed in to the Cibo Matto family members. He played a number of musical instruments on Cibo Matto’s Stereotype A and his very own music group, simply known as Timo, began associated them on live schedules. This led to the production of the solo record, entitled The Enchanted Forest of Timo Ellis, which includes a mishmash of designs from Latin (“Un Serape”) to steel (“Lite Brite”) with a significant low fat toward Brian Wilson-style agreement.
