Southern deep-fried hard rockers Throttlerod emerged from SC in 1999 and included Matt Whitehead (vocals/guitar), Bo Leslie (guitar), Chris Sundstrom (bass), and Jon McNabb (drums). A four-song demonstration called “With the Horns” was documented that same calendar year and their full-length debut Eastbound and Down found its way to 2000 on Underdogma Information. Intense touring implemented, as do a strategic proceed to Virginia as well as the eventual launch of brand-new drummer Kevin Light, and Throttlerod authorized with Small Rock and released their second recording, 2003’s Hell and Large Water.
