By age 23, Anita Blay began producing headlines as the sassy electro-pop soloist thecocknbullkid (a self-chosen moniker related to her bullsh*tting ability, spelled as you word, without capitals or apostrophes). Delivered in East London to Ghanaian parents, she began producing music with different hip-hop performers, including Program B, while within a youngsters placement plan, and following that she began producing house recordings with her pc and MIDI key pad in her father’s Hackney toned. She extended her sound by using Metronomy founding member Joe Support, and her debut one premiered on Metronomy’s 7” label. In the summertime of 2008, Blay performed the main U.K. celebrations, using backing paths off a difficult disk and a live three-piece lineup, after that continued to tour with Santogold, CSS, Metronomy, and Later from the Pier. After IAMSOUND Information released her UNITED STATES debut EP in fall of 2009, entitled Querelle, thecocknbullkid began readying a full-length in 2010 2010.
