The Telepathic Butterflies

The Telepathic Butterflies were formed in Winnipeg by guitarist and songwriter Réjean (Rej) Ricard and drummer Jacques (Jake) Dubois. The duo performed as Mayonnaise and Groove before buying its current name (extracted from a passing in Kurt Vonnegut’s book Breakfast time of Champions), even while developing and refining a good, wise power pop design. Their first recording, Nine Tunes (though it in fact had 12 tunes), was documented D.I.Con. and self-released in 2000, and a bass participant, Eric Vehicle Buren, was put into the lineup. Nine Tunes was remastered and four extra songs had been added for another release beneath the name Presenting the Telepathic Butterflies in 2003 by NY label Rainbow Quartz. Another album, Tunes from another Wave, arrived on Rainbow Quartz in 2004, adopted four years later on in 2008 by Breakfast time in Suburbia.
