The Prayers & Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers

The Prayers & Tears of Arthur Digby Retailers was a stage name adopted by indie pop artist Perry Wright in 2003. The name was extracted from the Coen Brothers film THE BEST Lebowski, and was originally meant as the name for an idea album predicated on an iron lung-bound personality for the reason that film. That effort was quickly left behind, nevertheless, and Wright rather collected up his folky, introspective recordings beneath the name Psalterie. Aided by like-minded music artists Alex Lazara, David Karsten Daniels, and Joshua Snyder, Wright documented his second launch, The Mom of Like Emulates the Styles of Cynthia, the next year. The recording arrived in 2005, spawning what would become Wright’s brand solitary, “Lisa.” The odds-and-sods Redux EP adopted in 2006, and Wright busied himself with the next Prayers & Tears recording, that was slated for launch in 2007.
