The Pack A.D.

Following within the tradition from the Dark Keys as well as the White Stripes, the Pack A.D. play a mixture of rock and roll and electrical blues. The feminine duo is made up of drummer Maya Miller and vocalist/guitarist Becky Dark, both of whom remaining their earlier Pixies-styled band to spotlight bluesier music. After growing in 2006 as you of Vancouver’s even more buzzworthy rings, the Pack A.D. agreed upon with Mint Information in 2007 and released a debut record, Tintype, the next January. Funeral Mixtape, the duo’s second providing, was released eight months afterwards. The group toured intensely to get both releases and finally came back to Vancouver, where in fact the bandmembers holed themselves up at Hive Studios and started tinkering with brand-new noises. Although still a blues music group in mind, the Pack A.D. discovered themselves attracted to punk and garage area rock and roll, both which steered the audio of 2010’s We Eliminate Computers within a somewhat different path. After 2011’s Unpersons, the Pack A.D. had taken a rest from documenting, and struck a fresh recording cope with Nettwerk Productions. Because of their first Nettwerk discharge, they recorded periods in 2013 at Vancouver’s Hive Studios, in addition to Ghetto Recorders in Detroit, with manufacturer Jim Diamond mixing up the final item. The album, USUALLY DO NOT Engage, premiered in early 2014. IN-MAY 2015, the Pack A.D. released a four-song EP, Meta Pet, which became their last task for Nettwerk. In 2016, the duo struck a fresh record cope with Cadence GROUP and, after teasing using the hard-rocking one “JUST WHAT EXACTLY,” released their 6th studio room LP, Positive Considering, in November of this year.
