The Innocents

The Innocents were a mid-’60s outfit from Southern California, comprising Danny Wheetman (vocals), Jim Pettit (business lead guitar), Woody Minnich (rhythm guitar), Richard Majewski (bass), and Expenses Schnetzler (drums), which later on evolved in to the Humane Culture, who rated a recording contract with Liberty Information that lasted for just one single. The Innocents by no means got previous a demo program at Golden Condition Recorders, however they made it pay back big, musically at least, using their initial edition of “Knock Knock,” that was two moments of ominous, upset passionate recriminations by Wheetman, sounding lost and unpleasant, while Pettit’s jangly lead acoustic guitar licks looped around Majewski’s bass and Schnetzler kicked the hell out of his drum package. This documenting (re-cut from the group for Liberty) was by no means heard, that was a pity because someplace out there in the past due ’60s was a biker film (like probably Gus Trikonis’ The SideHackers) that could’ve utilized it like a love theme.
