Ozark Henry

Idiosyncratic Belgian pop composer Ozark Henry broke to mainstream success along with his 2001 album, Birthmarks. Created Piet Goddaer in Kortrijk on Apr 29, 1970, he was the boy of traditional and jazz composer Norbert Goddaer, and started playing saxophone and piano at age group six. Upon getting an electric acoustic guitar for his 16th birthday, he and sibling Jan shaped a rock-band, Church from the Nemesis. (Goddaer later on assumed vocal responsibilities as well, as well as the group transformed its name to Heather O’Rourke honoring the ill-fated kid actress through the horror film Poltergeist.) In 1994 Goddaer obtained an underground strike with “Herny Man-She” by Jan’s fresh outfit, Term. “Herny Man-She” was released as Goddaer was focusing on his debut single project beneath the name Botho; he also done some musical theater tasks before implementing the Ozark Henry alias in 1995. After collaborating with saxophonist Frank De Ruytter and drummer Stéphane Galland in the medial side task Sunzoo Manley, he came back towards the Ozark Henry guise for his Sony label debut, Birthmarks, which proceeded to go platinum on the effectiveness of the strike singles “Recovery” and “Special Instigator.” Goddaer following defied expectations just as before, teaming with K’s Choice’s Sarah Bettens, Hooverphonic’s Geike Arnaert, and Arid’s Jasper Steverlinck over the soundtrack from the Belgian tv series Sedes and Belli. The 4th Ozark Henry album, The Sailor Not really the Sea, implemented in 2004, and 2 yrs afterwards he resurfaced using the Soft Machine, which quickly got into the Belgian TOP and became his first number 1 hit. The record also topped the graphs.
