Structured in London by vocalist Terry Sharpe and guitarist Pat Gribben (formerly of Belfast’s Starjets), the Journeys also comprised vocalist Eileen Gribben, guitarist Gerard “Spud” Murphy, bassist Tony Ayre and drummer Pat Crowder. The group authorized to Chrysalis and released their self-titled debut recording in 1984 (Theodore & Close friends was a re-packaged edition for the U.S. marketplace), but missed achievement until four years later on, after shifting to Elektra Information. The 1988 recording Sea of Like contained the moderate hit “Broken Property” but didn’t move very much beyond that. After another recording the following yr, Trading Secrets using the Moon, the Journeys drifted into obscurity.
