Austin, TX, indie rock and roll quintet the Cup Family members had their first incarnation at a celebration in wintertime 2001 with Tony Daugherty (drums) and Michael Winningham (vocals, electric guitar). After several lineup shifts, they guaranteed Frank Alexander (key pad), Jeremy Gomez (bass), and Brian Hubbard (electric guitar). Their debut record, Rest Inside This Steering wheel, finally found its way to early 2006 through i consume records. The Cup Family gained publicity through helping gigs with Okkervil River, Earlimart, the Decemberists, and I REALLY LIKE You But I’ve Particular Darkness.
