Augie Colón

Augie Colón was referred to as the “Grandfather of Percussion” in his house of Hawaii, where he was a favorite program musician and bandleader. He’s best known beyond the island condition through his association with exotica bandleader Martin Denny. Colón could be noticed on Denny’s traditional 1959 saving “Quiet Town” providing not merely percussion however the special birdcalls that are voiced in the saving aswell. Colón passed on at age 76 on June 11, 2004, after struggling complications linked to diabetes.
