Tallulah

Chicago harmony-pop combo Tallulah was formed by singer/guitarist Amy Warren and bassist/singer Troy Morris, who first collaborated in 1994 mainly because members of Vulva Golf club, a project led by regional performance artist Jenny Magnus. After Vulva Golf club dissolved, Warren and Morris reunited in the all-girl pop clothing Sleeveless Lily, which also included percussionist Kim Ambriz and later on vibist Carrie Biolo. Vocalist/guitarist Amalea Tshilds, a previous person in Chicago funk music group Uptighty, became a member of Sleeveless Lily in 1995, however when the group’s rates continuing to swell to unwieldy proportions, Warren and Morris dissolved the existing lineup, developing Tallulah with Tshilds and Biolo while producing their bright, advanced vocal harmonies their cornerstone of their modified strategy. In 1997 Biolo exited and was changed by multi-instrumentalist Jim Becker, and in nov 1999 Tallulah started focus on their debut LP, an archive that could spend near four years in germination; Chicago picture veteran Eddie Carlson became a member of the lineup in the planting season of 2000, so when Becker exited in planting season 2001 to spend his complete energies to Califone, he was changed by Euphone drummer Ryan Rapsys. Tallulah’s long-awaited debut recording Step In to the Celebrities was finally released in nov 2003.
