Vocalist/songwriter Frank de Pina formed his initial group, Operating-system Vulcanios, along with his brothers in 1971. Subsequently he shifted to Portugal and finally to Boston where he today lives and performs. De Pina performs both sentimental morna ballads and upbeat coladeira dance parts.
