Straying from the fuzzy, narcotic shore punk of his main task Wavves, Nathan Williams started Sweet Valley in the summertime of 2012 being a “production group” in the summertime of 2012 along with his brother Kynan Williams. The duo proved helpful loosely with Rihanna manufacturer John Hill, adding sunshiny guitars and murky hip-hop beats to slowed-down examples. Nathan Williams was quoted within an interview stating the project’s objective was to “make a soundtrack for you to get drunk come early july.” Special Valley’s first standard release came by means of an electronic mixtape. The nine-song combine Stay Calm premiered in early August of 2012 for the Fool’s Yellow metal label.
