I’m So Hollow

I’m So Hollow was a goth-tinged post-punk music group, located in Sheffield, Britain, that had root base within a punk music group called V4. Following the morph into I’m Therefore Hollow in 1979, the music group had taken cues from famous brands Cable and Siouxsie as well as the Banshees. Before making their initial recording, guitarist Fishing rod Leigh, bassist Gary Marsden, drummer Joe Sawicki, and vocalist/keyboardist Jane Wilson had been profiled in the NME within an article specialized in the Sheffield picture. Though they hardly ever released a lot of anything independently, their material do show up on the batch of compilations. “I HAVE NO IDEA” made an appearance alongside music by Vice Versa, the Stunt Kites, and Time clock DVA on 1980: The First 15 MINUTES, an EP released by Neutron in Feb of 1980. Another documenting, “Contact,” was released on Bouquet of Metal, a compilation of Sheffield rings released by Aardvark in June of 1980. Hicks In the Sticks (which also highlighted famous brands Medium Moderate, Wah! High temperature, and Contemporary Eon) was another bundle that highlighted the music group. Prior to splitting up, the music group released the Distraction one on Hollogram and another one, Feeling, on Illuminated.
