Ex – Rev9 member Scott Meiggs shaped Sunday Smoke Package in 1998, calling upon musical influences he hadn’t attempted in his previous music group. With Meiggs on electric guitar and vocals, Dan Villanueva, Paul Santos, among others done the lineup for the Charlottesville, VA, music group. Clearly influenced with the Byrds, Nick Drake, Crimson House Painters, as well as the Jesus & Mary String, Sunday Smoke Package has made a whole lot of waves in the underground American music picture. The music group debuted on record in 1998 using the Morning hours Charade Demos on Planting Seed products Records. Planting Seed products continued release a the band’s function, launching The Hardest Items Are Often the easiest to Unwind later on in 1998, Summer season Clothe themselves in 1999, Uncertain Smiles in early 2000, as well as the Passing Capturing Celebrities EP in 2001. Mike Gentry of Astropop 3 briefly joined the music group in 2000 to fill up the void when guitarist Dan Villanueva got a break through the band because of exhaustion. In 2001, the music group reinvented itself with Meiggs on acoustic guitar and vocals, drummer Neil DelParto, guitarist Dan Villanueva, and bassist Tag Renfro.
