After writing, documenting and touring to get Go through Music/Speak Spanish, instrumentalist Denver Dalley took a rest from his band, Desaparecidos and created Figures. Figures deliver an edgy, abstract audio that’s both post-rock/experimental and indie rock and roll. Alongside Michael Sweeney, Dalley documented a self-titled EP for Jade Tree. The beautiful five-song set made an appearance in summer season 2003. Months later on, Dalley and the nice Life’s Tim Kasher installed for an effective full-length. Alongside Mike Mogis, A.J. Mogis and Scott Martin, Figures’ final result was the wealthy soundscape of Keep Your Name. It made an appearance on Jade Tree in January 2004.
