Sol Y Canto

Released by Rosi and Brian Amador (who in 1984 co-founded Flor de Cana; the music group broke up a decade later on), Sol con Canto make use of dance rhythms from numerous countries (Cuban child, Spanish flamenco, Colombian cumbia, Puerto Rican bomba). The music group is actually multicultural, including users from Venezuela, Chile, Puerto Rico, Panama and america. Rosi (vocals) and Brian (guitars, vocals) are became a member of by Edilio Bermudez (bass, vocals), Eugenio Huanca (quena, zamponas, vocals), Renato Thoms (congas, bongo, little percussion, vocals) and Jon Weeks (saxes, flute) on the recording for Rounder, 1994’s Sancocho. Sendero del Sol made an appearance two years later on, and in 1999 the group came back with En Todo Momento.
