Sliimy

Pronounced “slimmy,” not “slimy,” Sliimy may be the nom de musique of Yanis Sahraoui, a singer/songwriter originally through the French town Saint-Etienne close to Lyons. Sahraoui obtained the nickname Sliimy being a youngster because he was high and slim; he also uncovered his like of music while he was extremely young, along with his mom introducing him towards the natural pop of Michael Jackson, Madonna, as well as the Bee Gees. After his mom passed on when he was seven, Sliimy spent lots of time by itself hearing music. Ultimately, he joined the neighborhood choir, which provided him a grounding in gospel and spirit. This emerged in convenient when he moved into a 2005 performing contest; executing Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock from the Bay,” Sahraoui earned first prize, that was studio room time with manufacturer Feed. Sliimy’s debut record, Paint THAT PERSON, made an appearance in fall 2009.
