Sunny and perfectly understated, Bloomington, Indiana trio Sleeping Handbag evoke the sluggish times of summery pop and ’90s guitar lo-fi. Created by Dave Segedy, the music group came collectively when the vocalist/drummer made a decision to increase the audio of his single task, Whoa Bro Awesome. Segedy recruited guitarist Lewis Rogers and bassist David Woodruff, and collectively the three started to create the band’s sleepy undertake power pop, placing the concentrate on melody while permitting the music to become both rocking and subdued. In 2011, the trio produced its debut using the eponymous Sleeping Handbag, released on Joyful Sound. Women you will ever have adopted in 2012, as well as the fuzzier Deep Rest was released in 2014 with the brand new lineup of Segedy, bass participant Glenn Myers, and guitarist Tyler Smith. The roster transformed again for his or her 4th LP, which presented Trevor Moore on bass and Reilly Shanahan on acoustic guitar.
