Madhouse

Hailing from Berkeley, CA, the jazz ensemble Madhouse is definitely comprised of people Scott Cost (keyboards), Don Rowlands (drums), Tag Holzinger (guitar), and Neal Heidler (bass). Holzinger, Heidler, and Rowlands have already been longtime fittings in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Area picture, with each member having an impressive continue of credits (Holzinger: Marvin Gaye, Joe Williams, Tag Isham, David Benoit, Ricky Lee Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Heidler: John Convenient, Richie Cole, Tag Levine, Eddie Harris, Rowlands: Dan Hicks, Ross Valory, Steph Melts away, and Woman Bianca). June of 2000 noticed the discharge of Madhouse’s debut recording, The Condition We’re In, including special guest looks by saxophonists Peter Apfelbaum and Chuck Clark, percussionist Jesús Diaz, plus clarinetist Sheldon Brownish.
