Shooting Spires

Shooting Spires may be the one-man music group solo task of multi-instrumentalist B.J. Warshaw, who by time has bass and keyboards using the experimental indie rockers Parts & Labor. The Brooklyn-based Warshaw had written and documented the Capturing Spires record in two active a few months between Parts & Labor travels in early 2008, its twisty and generally electronic undertake indie rock displaying the avowed impact of Brian Eno’s 1973 artwork rock masterpiece Right here Arrive the Warm Jets, which Warshaw provides frequently cited as his preferred album. Capturing Spires premiered in nov 2007 on Cardboard Information, a label co-owned by Warshaw and his Parts & Labor bandmates. Following the album’s discharge, Warshaw shaped a full-band lineup of Capturing Spires, performing and playing keyboards himself and with the various other three bandmembers comprising Mat Lynch on electric guitar, Emily Varlas on bass, and Jeff Ottenbacher on drums. A springtime 2008 tour was arranged across the group’s appearance at Austin’s SXSW celebration.
