Shakura S’Aida

Blues vocalist Shakura S’Aida (pronounced “Shack-oora Sigh-ee-da”) was created in Brooklyn and raised in Switzerland before settling in Toronto. She initial began singing appropriately using a Toronto music group called Mystique, and she caused the globe music music group Kaleefah. Concurrently, she pursued the best stage career, showing up in Canadian productions of such displays as Ain’t Misbehavin’, and acted on tv and in movies. As a vocalist, she provided back-up vocals for Patti LaBelle, performed within a Ray Charles tribute music group, and made an appearance on albums by Expenses King and Sunday Nite Seafood Fry. Her personal debut solo recording, Blueprint, released by UMI on Feb 19, 2008, was a assortment of blues tunes from the 1940s and ‘50s. 2 yrs later on, the German label Ruf Information released her second recording, Brown Sugars, which consisted mainly of her personal initial compositions, co-written with her guitarist, Donna Grantis.
