The shaggy, shambling indie rock project of Australian Craig Dermody, the beginnings of Scott and Charlene’s Wedding could be traced back again to a friend’s party in the mid-2000s. At that time, Dermody performed with two various other rings, Spider Vomit and Divorced, and in addition produced a name for himself in Melbourne’s underground artwork scene. Ultimately, he started spending additional time on Scott and Charlene’s Wedding ceremony — called after his mother’s preferred cleaning soap opera — and released the debut record Para Vista Public Club in a restricted model of 200 hand-painted LPs via Untapped Assets this year 2010 (afterwards, the record was reissued by Bedroom Suck, Fireplace Records, and Vital Heights). After shifting to NY, Dermody found are a set developer and founded Scott and Charlene’s Wedding ceremony like a full-fledged music group, buying the lineup of bassist Ian Savage, drummer Mike Myman, and guitarist Michael Caterer. This edition of the music group recorded Any Slot in a Surprise in 2012, with Open fire Records liberating it the next August. Following many years of touring all over the world and eventually time for Australia, Scott and Charlene’s Wedding ceremony released their third full-length, Mid Thirties Singles Picture, in 2016.
