Garsi was an excellent lutenist and composer who studied in Rome. His status quickly grew and he was known as to Parma operating to Duke Ranuccio I in the Farnese courtroom. Forty-five compositions, at least, had been compiled by Garsi (including two for key pad), mainly for the lute. His design was conservative as well as the configurations were mainly dances. A few of his sons and grandsons had been also mentioned lutenists.
