Canadian sextet Royal Canoe deliver a shiny, percussive design of indie pop, on top of multi-instrumentalism and tuneful, split songwriting. Formed this year 2010 in the ashes of many prominent Winnipeg rings, Royal Canoe emerged together throughout the music of frontman Matt Peters, keeping track of serves like OutKast, Beck, as well as the Knife amongst their early affects. Along with guitarist Bucky Driedger, keyboardist Matt Schellenberg, bassist Brendan Berg, and dueling drummers Derek Allard and JORDAN, Peters and his staff documented their debut, Co-Op Setting, that was released by Canadian indie Mind in the Fine sand Records. A nationwide tour introduced viewers to Royal Canoe’s powerful stage existence and complicated, hooky audio, and in 2012 they implemented up with the Expanded Play EP. Main festival performances and nationwide and international travels with Alt-J, Bombay Bike Membership, and Of Montreal implemented as their momentum continuing to build.
