Roy Hogsed

Given birth to in Arkansas, Roy Hogsed (b. 1919, d. 1978) relocated to NORTH PARK at the start of his profession. He was in charge of probably one of the most initial noises in post-war nation music, often tossing in components of the not-yet articulated varieties of rockabilly and rock and roll & move. His Rainbow Riders Trio mixed accordion, electric guitar and slapped-bass tempo to help generate strikes like his edition of “Cocaine Blues.” Other hits were created by him with a more substantial music group format, including “Snake Dance Boogie,” “Allow Your Pendulum Golf swing,” and “Aint a Bump in the street.” His profession lasted from 1947, when he produced his initial singles for Coastline Details to 1954, when he produced his last record for Capitol. He previously a limited effect on the larger nation music scene, generally due to his area in NORTH PARK rather than another musical powerhouse like Nashville or L.A., but his music continues to be a remarkable anomaly regardless.
