Younger brother of Hubert Laws, Ronnie Laws includes a nice soulful sound on tenor, but hasn’t seriously pursued playing jazz. Throughout his profession, which include early-’70s gigs with Quincy Jones, his sibling, Ramsey Lewis, and Globe, Wind & Fireplace, Laws provides essentially been an R&B participant. He provides led his very own albums since 1975, but documented very little appealing towards the jazz globe, although he’s often shown on Billboard’s modern jazz chart.
