Ron Holloway

A fantastic tenor saxophonist with an open up mind who’s best-known for his hard bop-oriented performances and recordings, Ron Holloway started taking part in music within the seventh quality. He worked well in R&B and funk rings in early stages, and sat along with such players as Sonny Rollins, Freddie Hubbard, and Dizzy Gillespie. After using Gil Scott-Heron during 1981-1988, Holloway (sounding a little like Stanley Turrentine) is at Dizzy Gillespie’s last music group (1989-1992). He offers recorded many albums like a innovator for Milestone.
