Fronted from the vocals of Tanya Abernathy, the Robustos debuted their hybrid of traditional ska, reggae, soul, rock and roll, and blues with the 1997 Moon Ska Record launch of Presenting the Robustos. Following a short U.S. tour to get their debut, the Atlanta natives shifted to Beatville Information, leading to the 1999 follow-up recording New Authentic.
