Ritchie & The Runarounds

Ritchie & the Runarounds contains Kripp Johnson, Lou Christie, and the lady group the Tammys, and released a unitary for Ascot in 1963, “Don’tcha Backtrack”/”Shed in the Masses.” Johnson, previously in the Del Vikings, requires the business lead on both edges, which were compiled by Christie and Christie’s songwriting partner Twyla Herbert. The flipside is usually an average, and typically dreary, early-’60s bridge between doo wop and young idoldom, as the even more frantic A-side can be an up-tempo pop/rocker without a lot of a melody or idiosyncratic travel to create it stick out from therefore many other produces of that time period. Both edges are included on RPM’s compilation of 1962-1964 edges by Christie as well as the Tammys, Egyptian Shumba.
