Raynard Miner

Pianist/songwriter Raynard Miner co-wrote the main R&B strikes by Small Milton (“We’re Gonna ENSURE IT IS”), Fontella Bass (“Recovery Me personally” and Jackie Wilson (“(Your Like Keeps Lifting Me personally)Higher and Higher,” originally recorded with the Dells along with a 1977 million-selling strike for Rita Coolidge). Various other Dells strikes co-written by Miner had been the double-sided strike, “THERE’S” b/w “Present Me” (#11 R&B, #20 Pop, early 1968) in the THERE’S LP, “Work For Cover” and “START Your Center” in the LP, ENJOY IT Is, ENJOY IT Was. Blessed March 18, 1946 in Chicago, IL, Miner dropped his sight young. Elevated by his grandparents following the loss of life of his parents, he began playing piano in his teenagers. He began composing music and became an associate the vocal group The Gems, who documented for Chicago-based Chess Information. They were manufactured from fellow Marshall Great learners and included Minnie Riperton. Quickly in 1963, Miner proved helpful on the Chicago workplace of New York-based Roulette Information. The music was formed from an jam program at Chess Studios one weekend in August 1965. Miner also co-wrote Bass’ follow-ups, “Recovery,” “I Surrender” and “Secure.” Around 1969, Miner visited work with Motown Records.
