Railway

Munich, Germany’s Railway enjoyed minimal success within the middle-’80s, when their compatriots the Scorpions and, to a smaller degree, Accept helped push Teutonic rock towards the forefront from the genre. However the music group had in fact been founded completely back 1977, wallowing in obscurity for a long time before documenting their first local one in 1981 and lastly their eponymous debut record for Roadrunner Information in 1984. Railway II implemented a year afterwards and, like both its forerunner and successor, 1987’s Climax, highlighted vocalist Walter Wicha, guitarists Robert Haslinger and Hermann Janowitz, bassist Werner Thaller, and drummer Hasi Haslinger executing effective but undistinguished large rock, similar to countrymen like Warlock, Grave Digger, or Sinner. Actually, Railway never liked much notoriety beyond continental Europe, and even though they continued touring and documenting sporadically in to the 1990s (including produces like 1990’s Backstage EVERY AREA EP, 1991’s TO BECOME Continued LP, 1993’s Welcome Tonight, and 1995’s Persecution Mania), their name got mostly been neglected.
