Ragnarok

Norwegian black metallic outfit Ragnarok (never to be baffled with the ’70s Swedish intensifying rockers) was created through the ashes of a youthful band named Thoth in 1994, when its drummer, Jontho (genuine name: John Thomas Bratland) and bassist Jerv teamed up with guitarist Rym (Øyvind Trindborg) and vocalist Thyme (aka General Hymer). Enthralled with everything satanic and wicked, Ragnarok debuted with 1995’s Nattferd (signifying “A Journey During the night”) and afterwards earned Dimmu Borgir’s Shagrath being a visitor keyboardist on 1997’s Arising World. Still going solid, Ragnarok’s following odes towards the dark lord possess included 2000’s Diabolical Age group, 2002’s In Nomine Satanas (presenting brand-new vocalist U. Høst) and 2004’s Blackdoor Magic.
