Pokey Bear

Southern bluesman Pokey Keep injects a larger-than-life swagger into his R&B-infused bayou spirit. Equivalent in old-school audio and heart to Willie Clayton, the Baton Rouge party-starter can be a Adam Brown-influenced soul guy in mind. One-third from the Louisiana Blue Brothas with Tyree Neal and Adrian Bagher (the trio released Love in the Bayou in 2014), Pokey Carry also released the single effort Josephine Child Pokey in 2014. The recording included sensual dance songs like “The Gingerbread Man” and “Mr. Strike It and Stop It” aswell as his de facto theme track, “They Contact Me Pokey.” Mr. It Ain’t Good found its way to January 2016. The recording featured regional dancefloor strike “Good Feet” and “Tremble That Money Manufacturer” with Mystikal.
