Poe

Named for the halloween costume predicated on an Edgar Allan Poe brief story, Poe obtained a deal with Atlantic through the increase of female singer/songwriters through the mid-’90s. Originally from NEW YORK, she transferred around often with her parents — a movie director and an celebrity — but came back to NY at age 16 if they divorced. Poe enrolled at Princeton, and performed within a music group during her period there. Agreed upon to Atlantic in 1994, she documented an record with several companies and co-writers and released Hi there the following calendar year. The one “Irritated Johnny” pressed Hello in to the record graphs, and during 1996 Poe backed Lenny Kravitz using a music group including guitarist Darius Adkins, drummer Dan Jones, bassist Toby Skard and cellist Cameron Rock and headlined many travels of her personal.
