Heavily influenced from the dreamy songwriting from the Verve as well as the exploratory approach of Spiritualized, Washington D.C.’s Phaser are as opposed to the indie pop and hardcore that the town is well known for. Liberating their first record (Skydive) in the summertime of 2000, the music group won several visible gigs including starting slot machines for Gomez, Super Furry Pets, and Dark Rebel Motorcycle Golf club. Writing through the next weeks, an EP (Sway) resulted in Emperor Norton putting your signature on the music group in the summertime of 2002. You start with an EP, Existence and Illusion/Sway launched a national target audience to their audio while Phaser began focus on their first recording for the label.
