Patrick Williams

A significant American composer and arranger who’s been mixed up in film industry because the 1960s, Patrick Williams sometimes prospects projects of his personal. Elevated in Connecticut, he began learning traditional trumpet, and performed within the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra. At exactly the same time, in senior high school, Williams led his personal swing-oriented jazz music group. He then analyzed at Duke University or college (where he led the Duke Ambassadors) and Columbia University or college, where he analyzed music structure and conducting. Energetic in documenting studios as a man, he piled-up many credits during NY from 1961 to 1967, and, though he performed trumpet and vibes in early stages, became purely a composer/arranger after shifting to LA in 1968. He published the ratings for over 60 feature movies and countless tv projects, founded and went the short-lived jazz label Soundwings in the past due ’70s, and organized for most performers, including Barbra Streisand and Billy Joel. Williams trained at many colleges while carrying on to lead documenting classes, including some for Pausa, Verve, Capitol, Columbia, ABC, Allegiance, Warner Bros., Soundwings, and EMI. Having been nominated for several Grammys in his profession, Williams received the honor in 1974 for his big-band recording Threshold, and once again in 1986 for his trombone and orchestral function “Suite Remembrances.” In 2011, Williams was nominated for just two Grammy Honours for his big-band jazz documenting Aurora. His big band-style structure in tribute to his family members, Home Suite House, premiered on Varèse Sarabande in 2015 and highlighted guests including Patti Austin, Dave Grusin, Arturo Sandoval, and Frank Sinatra, Jr.
