Outsidaz

When former Ruffhouse Information head Chris Schwartz launched his RuffNation Information in 1999, the very first release he released in RuffNation’s Ruff Life label was by Outsidaz, a hardcore rap clothing from northern NJ. Outsidaz’ initial Ruff Life one, “The Rah Rah,” premiered in Dec 1999, accompanied by its six-song EP THE NIGHT TIME Lifestyle in January 2000. However the roots of the group (whose people include Little Zee, Speed Won, Slang Lot, Yah Ya, Ax, D.U., Az-Izz, Leun One, NawShis, DJ Muhammed, and Denton) in fact get back to the first ’90s. Initially, Youthful Zee and Speed had been rival MCs; Speed had an organization known as PNS, while Zee going the group Skitzo. When PNS and Skitzo got a lengthly mike fight in Newark, NJ, in 1991, Zee and Speed sensed that neither group earned your competition — it had been a connect — and made a decision to unite into one group as Outsidaz. Around 1995, Outsidaz found the attention from the Fugees, who continued to hire them on the tune “Cowboys.” Ultimately, the group agreed upon with Ruffhouse/Columbia, however when Schwartz still left Ruffhouse, they proceeded to go with him and finished up on Ruff Lifestyle.
