The first ’90s saw industrial metal finally emerge through the underground in to the mainstream, because of big-selling releases by such artists as Nine Inch Nails and Ministry — clearing just how for countless other rings to follow within their path, including Optimum Wound Profile. The British-based quintet included previous Extreme Sound Terror vocalist Phil Vane within their rates, and issued a set of albums for the Roadrunner label: the 1992 debut Lowest Common Denominator and 1993’s Metallic or Lead, and a last launch, Asphyxia, in 1995, before divorce.
