Nina Hagen

Delivered in East Germany, Nina Hagen had already gained a popularity being a flamboyant rock and roll singer by enough time she emigrated towards the Western world in 1976, where she formed a music group, signed to CBS Germany, and released the debut record Nina Hagen Music group in 1978. It had been adopted in 1980 by Unbehagen. Hagen’s 1st U.S. launch, Nina Hagen Music group EP (1980), was a four-song EP comprising songs attracted from her two German produces. She relocated to NY and produced her 1st English-language LP, Nunsexmonkrock, in 1982. That and its own follow-up, the Giorgio Moroder-produced Fearless (1983), charted briefly, and “NY NY” was a high Ten dance golf club strike. But Hagen remaining CBS after Nina Hagen in Ekstacy (1985). In 1988, she celebrated her relationship using the EP Punk Wedding ceremony, released in Canada, and in 1989 she came back towards the German marketplace with Nina Hagen. This year 2010, Hagen released Personal Jesus, which presented 13 faith-based songs that dutifully mix rock and roll, blues, spirit, and gospel right into a sound that’s distinctly hers.
