Neverland

Neverland — or rather, Dreamtone & Iris Mavraki’s Neverland, to explain their name — was formed in 2006 with the associates of Turkish progressive/power steel music group Dreamtone, namely vocalist Oganalp Canatan, guitarists Onur Ozkoc and Burak Kahraman, keyboardist Guney Ozsan, bassist May Dedekarginoglu, and drummer Emrecan Sevdin, alongside veteran Greek vocalist Iris Mavraki. And, so far, this uncommon pan-Aegean alliance offers spawned two albums of really byzantine and grandiose metallic pomp: 2008’s Reversing Period and 2010’s Ophidia.
