Neil Jenkins

Neil Jenkins is a tenor who by the finish from the twentieth hundred years had had sung in main British homes in little and heroes parts. He could possibly be noticed in the 1980 documenting of La Gioconda (as Initial Tone of voice), and in a 2000 launch of Leonard Bernstein’s White colored Home Cantata, a resurrection (some state an exhumation) of Alan Jay Lerner and Bernstein’s failed Broadway musical 1600 Pa Avenue. He also sang as the Prince in Alban Berg’s Lulu at Glyndebourne and in the BBC Henry Woods Promenade Concerts at Royal Albert Hall; as Mr Splinters in Aaron Copland’s The Sensitive Land in the Barbican Middle; as a Safeguard in Tippett’s Ruler Priam on the SBC in London; and, on the Welsh Country wide Opera in Cardiff, as Reverend Horace Adams in Britten’s Peter Grimes, Chaplitsky in Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades, the daddy Confessor in Poulenc’s Dialogue from the Carmelites, and Arnalta in Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea. He in addition has sung in Grimes on the Paris Opéra-Bastille. He also bears the same name among the best-known players on Wales’ rugby group.
