Nattali Rize

Australia’s Nattali Rize is a vocalist/guitarist/songwriter known on her behalf politically minded, reggae-influenced pop/rock and roll. A indigenous of Byron Bay, Rize (in the beginning referred to as Natalie Pa’apa’a) 1st began producing music like a road performer alongside partner Carlo Santone in the music group Pores and skin. In 2004, the few relocated to Melbourne and created the eight-member roots-and-reggae music group Blue King Dark brown, with whom they documented and performed for over ten years. After relocating to Jamaica in 2014, Pa’apa’a started working on single material and used the stage name Nattali Rize, purportedly influenced by both Native American term “natt” indicating “loudspeaker” as well as the Bob Marley music “RISE.” In 2015, she collaborated using the reggae ensemble Notis on her behalf debut EP, New Period Frequency. Featured within the recording was the solitary “Rebel Like.” 2 yrs later, she shipped her debut full-length record, Rebel Frequency, including guest performances from Julian Marley, Raging Fyah, among others.
