Richard Edwards

A singer, songwriter, and guitarist who eventually began releasing music under his personal name, Richard Edwards was most widely known throughout his twenties for the bittersweet indie rock and roll of his music group Margot & the Nuclear Thus and So’s. Called after the personality Margot Tenenbaum in the Wes Anderson arthouse humor The Royal Tenenbaums, the group, which contains the Indianapolis indigenous and a revolving lineup, released its debut, The Dirt of Retreat, on regional label Standard Documenting in 2005. It had been critically well-received, and Epic would concern the label-approved follow-up Not really Pet (alongside the band’s favored version, Pet!) in 2007.
