Milosc

A skillful mix of traditional and avant-garde jazz produced TriCity’s Milosc perhaps one of the most essential yass picture collectives. The music group formed in the ashes of the brand new influx group Sni Sredstwom Za Uklanianie, and contains double-bassist Ryszard Tymanski, saxophonist Mikolaj Trzaska, and clarinetist Jerzy Mazolewski, aka Mazzoll. In 1991 Mazzoll still left the music group and pianist Leszek Mozdzer became a member of the lineup. Using the encouragement of achievement at Krakow’s Jazz Juniors Celebration in 1992, Milosc, with Jacek Olter on percussion and saxophonist Maciej Sikala, documented their first self-titled record. In 1994 they created a variety of avant-jazz and globe music because of their second discharge, Taniec Smoka. The same calendar year Milosc’s music artists, in cooperation using the preeminent avant-garde trumpeter Lester Bowie, released the live record Not really Two. In 1995, Milosc released the Krzysztof Komeda-linked Asthmatic long-play. In 1997, in co-operation with Tymanski’s Tymon i Trupy music group, they released a film soundtrack from Olaf Lubaszenko’s Sztos. Regardless of the collapse of the initial Milosc lineup in the past due ’90s, Tymanski toured along with Olter, Trzaska (substituted in 2000 with Mazzoll), and Tomasz Hesse on bass. The next cooperation between Milosc and Lester Bowie was entitled Talkin’ About Lifestyle and Loss of life and was released in 2000. Milosc disbanded in 2002 following the loss of life of Jacek Olter by suicide.
