Portland, OR power trio Middian was founded in 2005 by vocalist and guitarist Mike Scheidt, when his previous music concern, YOB, collapsed after releasing four albums of often acclaimed, epic-trance steel. Faced with your choice to either re-staff YOB with brand-new players (bassist Isamu Sato and drummer Travis Foster having concurrently give up), or begin fresh under a fresh music group moniker, Scheidt find the last mentioned and currently recruited Will Lindsay (bass/vocals) and Scott Headrick (drums) to full Middian’s lineup. 2 yrs afterwards, their debut work, Age Eternal, premiered by Metal Cutter and, while its tracks taken care of the drawn-out web templates emblematic of YOB’s albums, in addition they explored additional components of doom steel and post-hardcore.
