Mason, Capaldi, Wood & Frog

This short-lived group, aka Wooden Frog, was formed in January 1969 in the remnants of Traffic. Ex-members Dave Mason (electric guitar/vocals), Jim Capaldi (drums/vocals) and Chris Hardwood (saxophone) were joined up with by organist Mick Weaver, who acquired previously appreciated a solo profession beneath the pseudonym Wynder K. Frog. The brand new quartet lasted only 90 days, completing a small number of live schedules and a radio program before disintegrating. Despite their potential, the group was overshadowed by Visitors’s effective legacy, and lacked the concentrate its former head, Steve Winwood, supplied. Mason and Weaver after that resumed their indie single pursuits while Capaldi and Hardwood reverted to program function before re-convening Visitors.
