Maria Antonakos

It was not a straightforward trek for Maria Antonakos. The child of the Greek chanter who emmigrated to Canada practically penniless, she was raised in Ontario. Functioning like a waitress, bartender, and housekeeper for pig farmers to be able to go after her artwork, Antonakos received a qualification in vocal overall performance. She also continuing her research in Europe, in addition to North America, like the Juilliard College of Music. Dealing with Dave Paterson and Expenses Carpenter, she combined melodies from hundreds of years past with present-day pop to generate her debut recording in 2001, Four Edges, No Wall space. The album includes a duet with tenor John McDermott.
