Devices of Loving Sophistication, an aggressive industrial music group with distorted vocals, formed in 1989 around vocalist Scott Benzel, keyboardist Mike Fisher, guitarist and bassist Stuart Kupers, and drummer Brad Kemp. After self-releasing their debut record, the group was found by Mammoth in 1991. Focus made an appearance in 1993, and Gilt implemented two years afterwards.
